Collective Bargaining

    The SNAT engages in negotiations for improved conditions of service for teachers (members). This includes negotiations for:

  1. Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA)
  2. Salary Review
  3. Allowances and Rates of pay
  4. Fringe benefits
  5. Better teaching conditions
  6. Hours of work
  7. Sick Leave and sick pay
  8. Uniforms and protective clothing
  9. Sickness Benefits or Medical Schemes
  10. Training
  11. Safety Measures
  12. Principles of engagement and termination of services, including Redundancy Probation, Transfers, Promotion and Housing.
  13. Leave and Leave pay including Public Holiday.
